Eligibility

Funding Focus Areas
If your organization qualifies as a charitable, not-for-profit 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization under the Internal Revenue Service Code guidelines and is located in a community served by Wisconsin Energy Corp. or its subsidiaries, you may qualify for funding in one of the following focus areas.

Education
Non-profit organizations that support recruiting needs for a diverse, promotable workforce.

Environment
Environmental education, resource preservation and conservation programs that help guide our communities toward an environmentally responsible future.

Basic Human Needs
Organizing local efforts to provide all people the chance to have a decent place to live, as well as clothing, food and utilities for their families, enabling those who are in need to obtain the resources they need to have a sustainable life.

Emergency Preparedness and Response
Partnerships with agencies that provide emergency response and disaster relief services.

Corporate Initiatives
We support non-profit organizations that positively affect the growth and success of our business.

Employee Involvement
We encourage Wisconsin Energy Corp. employees to actively serve on the boards of non-profit organizations.

In addition, we match active and retired employee gifts to any U.S. elementary, secondary and post-secondary school that is accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.

We also match gifts to local, non-profit arts and cultural organizations in Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula, provided they are recognized by the IRS as 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations. Personal contributions of at least $25 but no more than $20,000 total per calendar year per employee are matched.

United Way of Greater MilwaukeeHealth and Human Services
We help thousands of people in communities served by Wisconsin Energy Corp. and its subsidiaries by supporting the United Way, a non-profit organization to help strengthen individuals, families and communities.

The United Performing Arts FundArts
We help provide quality entertainment, attract talented employees, educate Milwaukee's young people and bring economic dollars into Milwaukee by supporting the United Performing Arts Fund.
